Learn to Curl classes are now open every Tuesday through the end of August! Come try this unique sport and learn the fundamentals of curling with curling stones used in the 2002 Olympic Games! 
 
 
A new session of Learn to Speed Skate classes starts on August 13! If you have a need for speed or are looking for a fun way to get and stay fit, the Learn to Speed Skate Program is the perfect place for you.
 
 
Construction crews continue to work on the Mountain View Corridor from 4100 South and S.R. 201
 
 
 
Pedestrian Route Detours
As school starts up, here is a reminder of the safe walking routes to local schools between 4100 South and 3500 South. Please see flyer for a map of the routes.
 
 
3500 South:
Pedestrians will use the south sidewalk on 3500 South. Please use caution while walking near the construction area and follow signs/signals/flaggers.
 
 
4100 South:
The north and south side sidewalks on 4100 South are open. Follow signs and new traffic signals where haul trucks enter the construction zone.
 
 
Cilma Drive Detour:
The Cilma Drive detour provides access from both east and west of the construction zone to Ascent Academy. This detour route has a sidewalk for pedestrians. Please use this designated route to travel through the construction zone. Flaggers may be directing traffic and pedestrians on the Cilma Drive Detour while hauling operations occur.
 
 
Darle Avenue
Night work is projected for August 19 to August 21 from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. Crews will be working on the pedestrian underpass. Residents in the area may notice an increase of noise. Work will be done in accordance to the night work noise permit obtained from Salt Lake County.
 
 
2700 South
One-way flagging operations are projected to begin as early as August 20. Utility work will start between Jacketta Lane and Caroline Drive/Glen Eagle Drive. Flagging operations will be from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The work will also require shoulder closures on the south side of the road. Work is projected to continue through early September.
