As I’ve had the opportunity to meet with businesses, I continue to be impressed by the scrappiness and fortitude of our business leaders as they continue to make things happen.  Whether it’s a shortage of employees, an increase in pricing and availability of critical supply chain, or continued engagement with keeping employees and customers safe, our businesses continue to morph, survive, and for many excel.  ChamberWest continues to be a resource and support organization for business success.  I’m excited to announce that ChamberWest is hiring a new Director of Business Development.  If you know a positive, energetic, people-loving, organized individual interested to joining our ChamberWest team to help us grow membership, please have them reach out to me for additional information on this exciting opportunity.

The ChamberWest Golf Tournament is scheduled for Wednesday, August 18 at Stonebridge Golf Club and I’m excited to announce that we have just a few sponsorship opportunities left and the foursomes are now sold out.   The tournament will have 180 golfers for an 18 hole scramble spread out over 27 holes with a shot gun start, breakfast, and an awards luncheon. We are also looking for awesome raffle items for the tournament as well.  For the few remaining sponsorships or to donate raffle items, you can reach out to staff for more information.
 
The Fall ChamberWest Job Fair is scheduled at Copper Hills High School in West Jordan on September 16^th from 3:00 – 6:00 pm.  This event is being held in collaboration with the Granite School District, the Jordan School District, Utah Department of Workforce Services and the Salt Lake Community College.  Employer tables are available for chamber members at no charge with sponsorship opportunities for those interested in getting greater exposure.  Many thanks to Visit Salt Lake, TalentTeam, and The City Journals for support of this important program connecting job seekers with employers.  Registration is available at:   https://chamberwest.com/events/details/chamberwest-job-fair-1507?calendarMonth=2021-09-01
