GOED Grants - Upcoming Insightful and Engaging Events

Hope you are enjoying the last week of July! This summer is flying by even as we continue to work through the opportunities presented by COVID-19. For those interested in the ‘Shop in Utah’ grant program, the application went live yesterday morning at 9:00 am. Information and materials for all three current GOED ongoing grant programs are online:
As a reminder, if your business is located in Salt Lake County and you meet the other eligibility criteria, you can still access up to $35,000 in a grant through the Salt Lake County Covid-19 Small Business Impact Grant program. Check out the eligibility requirements and submit your application as soon as possible before the funds are exhausted. 8/4: Tuesday Topics – ‘COVID-19 Impact on Healthcare – from the Perspective of a Hospital Administrator’ – Zoom - 9:30 am. Hear an interesting and insightful perspective on the impact of COVID from Jon Butterfield, RN, BSN, MBA - President of the Jordan Valley Medical Center. 8/13: ‘The Pit Crew Challenge’ – 12:00 – 5:00 pm with lunch provided. Hosted in partnership with iMpact Utah and the Utah Trucking Association. They replace textbooks with hands-on training as your team works together in the role of pit crew with an actual NASCAR. Safety precautions will be respected. Limit of 2 people per company. 8/20: Annual ChamberWest Golf Classic - Stonebridge Golf Club. This event is open to members only with registration available at: https://chamberwest.com/events/details/annual-chamberwest-golf-classic-1151?calendarMonth=2020-08-01. This will be a tee time tournament this year which will make it a ChamberWest one of a kind EVER event!
