Leadership Communication - Wednesday is important - GOED - EDCUtah Update on Tuesday

Life is crazy for most of us as we navigate continual change both at home and at work.  It seems we went from a whirlwind 2019 to a major shift and slowdown in 2020 to a new revving up of the engine for 2021.  As we start to return a little more towards normalcy, let’s not forget some of the most important people that make our organizations successful as we recognize National Administrative Professionals’ Day on Wednesday, April 21st.  I want to publicly thank Connie Bailey, our Office Manager, as she is truly is the glue that keeps our organization strong.

If you have not yet registered, please take a few minutes to complete the process so you don’t miss the update from Theresa Foxley with EDCUtah and Dan Hemmert, the new Executive Director for GOED.  They will be sharing important information on State Resources Available Through GOED/EDCUtah to Help you Grow Your Business.  All of our businesses leaders should plan to attend this very insightful and informative session.   Many thanks to Utah Transit Authority for their sponsorship of the event.  Registration information is included below.  If you need assistance please call or email Connie.

Our very first Job Fair which was held last week was a success with 70+ employers participating.  With support from the Granite School District and Jordan School District, we had a strong turnout from students either looking for future careers, jobs post high school, and summer jobs.  Many thanks to those on the planning committee and to those businesses who participated for our very first Job Fair.  We’ll look forward to working with our committee member to plan the next Job Fair in October.
