Small Business Impact Grant Open to More Industries & More

Small Business Impact Grant Open to More Industries & More

Welcome to August!

It’s important to note that the Salt Lake County Small Business Impact Grant (SBIG) was updated effective July 28th to include all industries, as well as businesses that received LESS THAN $35,000 in CARES Act funds.  Any small businesses in Salt Lake County meeting all other requirements noted below should apply. If you were denied the grant in Round 1 based on industry or previously receiving COVID-19 aid, please re-apply.

Completed applications from eligible businesses will be processed in the order they are received. The application will be open until funds are exhausted.
Eligible businesses must:

  • Be based in Salt Lake County
  • Employ fewer than 100 employees
  • Provide documents verifying your financial loss
  • Be in any industry impacted by COVID-19
  • Have operated prior to Jan. 1, 2020
  • Received less than $35,000 financial aid through CARES Act programs, like the PPP, EIDL or State ComRent programs.
If you are still unsure if you qualify after reviewing the eligibility criteria on this web page, complete the first step of the application here. This pre-screening will ensure you meet the basic eligibility requirements.
