Leadership Communication - Job Fair on April 9th - Award Nominations

For the past few years, the Education and Workforce Development Committee has been focused on workforce development, pathways to careers, education and more with one of the major outcomes being a Job Fair.  We have partnered with the Granite School District, Jordan School District, Salt Lake Community College, and the Utah Department of Workforce Services to bring you a COVID friendly Job Fair, scheduled on April 9th from 2:00 – 6:00 pm at the Granger High School in West Valley.

There are a total of 100 tables available for businesses interested in getting in front of the current and future workforce and community job seekers.  The event has been promoted heavily through the school districts, the libraries, Utah Department of Workforce Services and through advertising in City Journals.   Tables are available on a first come first serve basis at no charge to members with sponsorship opportunities available.  Interested businesses who are seeking employees now or want to educate current and future job seekers on paths to careers in their industries can sign up by emailing Connie at connie@chamberwest.org or calling her at 801-977-8755.

Thank you to those who have already submitted nominations for the various award categories for the Annual Awards Gala.  Take a few minutes to nominate your company or another member company that you believe worthy of one of the following awards:  Business of the Year, Small Business of the Year, Best Place to Work, Volunteer of the Year, or Best New Business of the Year.  You can access the nomination form with much more information at: https://chamberwest.com/gala.  Nominations are due by May 1st
